Nashuan’s debut EP is an eclectic mix of funk, disco and tribal rhythms.
Inspired by seminal house producers – Moodymann and St Germain
–Nashuan’s groove-driven release is for the dance music enthusiast, all
handcrafted in his hometown of Melbourne, Australia.

He began recording way back in 2014, and these formative years helped shape
his sound of today. Butterbean, one of the singles off the EP, was created on
the fly during the engineering stage. Recycling an older mastered edit from his
catalogue, Butterbean was flipped and re-bounced using some vocal stems,
and became the lead single off the EP.

Having worked on the EP with Simon Moro (Aria nominated), and mastered
by Jo Carras (Grammy nominated) from Crystal Mastering, Nashuan transports
the soul back to early-2000s, when he was cutting up the dancefloor with
Detroit pioneers Alton Miller and Dj Rolando. Christian Vance (Away Music,
Berlin), a driving force of the Melbourne dance scene at that time, describes
Nashuan’s release as something “…crafted out of an articulate observation of
form and feeling”.

Nashuan recently performed at the Know Show Grow Yourself Mental Health
Festival 2022, a great cause that aims to promote awareness in the areas of
mental health and self-development. He is currently building a new studio to
continue his pursuit of form and feeling.
